Hey Joy, thanks a lot for your comments. I am glad you like some of my work. I have been working on this series for like 2 years and never really took the time to share it.
Take care :)

Wow, I've done a few of these myself but now I know how it should be done. Would be grateful if you would have alook at my tries and tell me what you think though.

I had a look to your photos.. there are really cool ! you did great to not get blurry people during the 30 sec exposure ! blue light is gorgeous and your scenes are fun.
I know how hard it is to draw nice characters.. your "friend" is great ! keep on the good work ! see ya

Well thats actually me in the shot after I have drawn the person! I draw him in the pitch black and then get someone to turn the light on for 2 seconds when I am in the right place. Obvioulsy that only works for interiors! Gonna have to put you on a watch list. Your the first person I have seen doing the same sort of thing so I hope our minds are similar in other ways.

"get someone to turn the light on" .. that s it ! I have been trying to create characters near people outside and keeping them neat.. I hoped you had a kind of magik trick to do this ;) I didn t think about puting another light source for few sec. Gonna try this soon :) Watching you too !
Why did you start doing this with the light ? I started creating characters in public places cause i am too shy to shoot people during the day !
See ya ! :)

I started it very simply by seeing if I could draw a halo round a statues head, that worked fine so I started just messing about with torches and long exposures, lots of which are in my gallery. Then I traced round my car while I waited for someone to finish taking a photo and it just got me thinking. To be honest the first time I tried to do it with myself in it took a few tries but once I had figured out I just needed someone to turn the light on for just a second (almost to create a "second" exposure in one shot) it opened up a whole new world of ideas.
Thinking of doing a tutorial at some point as I have a clever shot I want to pull off.
I'm really glad I found your work as most people I talk to about these shots cant really grasp the idea of how to do it. So its great to find someone who is into the same sort of thing.
You have inspired me to get out and do some more light shots. Dont worry, I will give you a mention!!

The best ideas come while messing about with the camera settings and the light... It s true that these shot are quite unusual, great ! Well, while you ll be outside, i ll be trying some new things inside, following your explanation. Thank you ! See you my friend
